The five day, all-ages music and arts festival will feature The Gossip, Pony Up!, Magneta Lane, Republic of Safety, The Hot Springs and Hexes and Ohs performing live at Club SAW, Babylon and Mavericks. Local performers Marie-Josee Houle, The Hussies, Pixie Cram, Les Alumettes, My Shadow, RED FEY, Sarah Hallman and Daydream Square will be featured. Out of town talent (we got ladies from Kingston, Halifax, Toronto, Montreal and Bloomington, Indiana) will include Ratsicule, The Cliks, The Stolen Minks, Hunter Valentine, Galaxy, Flotilla, Kat Burns, ohbijou, I Hate Sally, Scarlet Sins and Denise Dill.

Ladyfest Ottawa’s cutting edge workshops will be held all day Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of the festival. The workshop schedule will include Learn How to DJ with DJ CPI, Bookmaking, Fertility Awareness facilitated by Planned Parenthood, Sex for One for Women led by Venus Envy and many more.

Ladyfest Ottawa will also be hosting a film screening of "Getting Nowhere Faster". (Dir. Tiffany Morgan, Nicole Morgan, Lori Damiano, Lisa Whitaker/USA/45min.) Produced by the notorious Villa Villa Cola squadron, “Getting Nowhere Faster” brings to light the elusive and mysterious underworld of female skateboarders.

And finally, our fabulous craft sale, featuring local knitters, bakers, sewers and silk-screeners will take place during the day on Saturday September 17th.

Four years on and still going strong, Ladyfest Ottawa is a non-profit, primarily women-organized music and arts festival that is open to everyone. Ladyfest is a volunteer driven festival that both showcases women's artistic expression and shares ideas through music, spoken word, performance, film and video, exhibitions, panels and workshops.
